Balls set for Liverpool visit
Shadow chancellor Ed Balls is to lead a delegation of shadow cabinet ministers to Liverpool later this week. The delegation will attend a Downtown Liverpool in Business event tomorrow (3 March) at the Sir Thomas Hotel.
Frank McKenna, chairman of Downtown Liverpool in Business, said: “We live and breathe Liverpool business and understand the issues that limit and enhance growth.
“Translating these issues to Westminster and making sure we are heard on a national level is one of our biggest challenges, especially at a time of austerity when the whole country is striving to be heard.
“The ministers’ visit to the city provides our members with a voice and opportunity to be heard by people who can affect policy and deliver change.”
