China Business Award wins for North West businesses
Companies in the North West are celebrating after being recognised for their efforts in the Far East at the Greater China Business Awards 2012.
Engineering company EDM took home the China Business Award for the North West with Rochdale-based Precision Technologies Group named as runner-up.
The Building Design Partnership, which has an office in Manchester, received the Greater China Rising Star award. Liverpool-based Brock Carmichael Architects was the runners-up.
Airline Finnair received the China Recognition Award 2012. The company has introduced the first direct flight from mainland Europe to China's largest city Chongqing, which starts from Manchester in May.
Clive Drinkwater, regional director for UK Trade & Investment North West, said: "This year's England’s North West Greater China Business Awards are a great celebration of those businesses which have done the most to strengthen the links between our two economies."
The awards were held at the Lowry Theatre in Salford on Friday (3 February).
