Days inn Liverpool named among Europe’s best in Tripadvisor ‘hotel oscars’
A Liverpool hotel has been named as one of Europe’s top budget hotels by leading travel review website TripAdvisor.
Days Inn Liverpool, on James Street in the city centre, was ranked 21st best budget hotel in Europe in the annual Travellers’ Choice Awards, less than a year after opening its doors.
The hotel, which was launched in March 2011 by operators Sanguine Hospitality Ltd, was also ranked seventh in the UK’s best budget category.
The awards, often dubbed the Oscars of the hotel world, are based on millions of reviews and opinions cast by travellers worldwide during the past year.
Paris D’Allessandro, general manager at Days Inn Liverpool, said: “TripAdvisor is considered the ultimate review website among the international travel community, so to be ranked so highly in our first year a real achievement.
“We’ve only been operating for three quarters of the qualifying period, so who knows where we’d have got if it we’d had a full year of reviews.
“The goal for us now must be to maintain and grow the reputation we have worked so hard to forge, and that means delivering the same high standards of guest service and finding any opportunities for enhancement.”
The winners are based on the more than 60 million reviews and opinions from travellers on TripAdvisor, including traveller ratings for specific categories.
