Halewood’s Evoque clocks up its 22nd international award
The Liverpool built Range Rover Evoque has claimed its 22nd international award.
Its latest success comes from leading US publication, Motor Trend.
The Evoque was presented with the coveted ‘SUV (sports utility vehicle) of the Year’ title by Editor-in-chief Angus MacKenzie in recognition of its capability both on and off the road and its combination of traditional Range Rover values with ‘state-of-the-moment’ design and efficiency.
John Edwards, global brand director for Land Rover, said: “Since its global debut a year ago the Range Rover Evoque has made an unmistakable impact on the media and customers alike. This latest awards win brings the Evoque’s tally to an impressive 22 and I am delighted that it comes from one of America’s most pre-eminent publications.”
Halewood’s 3,000-strong staff produced the first customer-ready Evoque in July and global sales, particularly in Russia and China, are making it one of the group’s most successful launches.
