Liverpool to host UK premiere of Martin Scorsese’s new George Harrison documentary
Liverpool will host the UK premiere of Martin Scorsese’s new documentary about Beatles legend George Harrison.
Picturehouse at FACT will screen George Harrison: Living In The Material World, on Sunday, October 2, before it goes on general release on October 4.
The Oscar-winning director traces the late Beatle’s life from his musical beginnings in Liverpool through his career as a musician, philanthropist and film-maker.
The documentary weaves together interviews with Harrison and his friends – including Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Eric Idle – with home movies, letters and photographs.
Much of the material has never been seen before and the film charts the musician’s personal life, including his attraction to women.
