New brand for Liverpool Waterfront

New brand for Liverpool Waterfront

A new identity for Liverpool’s Historic waterfront has been launched.

The Liverpool Waterfront brand, designed by Holmes Wood, has been rolled out on signage in the area, with proposals for a website and app in place.

The brand, commissioned by the Liverpool Waterfront Partnership offers the overarching ‘Liverpool Waterfront’ brand and four sub-brands for Kings Dock, Albert Dock, Pier Head and Princes Dock.

Liverpool Vision’s Area Investment Manger, Ann Hopper, who is part of the Liverpool Waterfront Partnership said: “The brand enables the city to promote and unite the Waterfront as a whole more effectively, but also to retain the distinctiveness of the individual docks which offer different services and experiences.

“Businesses in the area have given a very positive response to the brand and are eager to use it on their own promotional material.”

Steve Parry, Managing Director of Neptune Developments and Liverpool Waterfront Partnership Management Committee member, said: “The Liverpool Waterfront Partnership works to ensure that the area benefits from co-ordinated planning of joint events and activity. The brand supports this activity and strengthens the areas distinctive sense of place.”

Signage reflecting the brand has been installed at Albert and Kings Docks. Planning applications for further signage at Pierhead and Princes Dock have recently been submitted.
