Liverpool Science Park (LSP) is a specialist 40,000sq ft facility based at the foot of Liverpool's iconic Metropolitan Cathedral. Launched in January 2006, the facility provides a home for science and knowledge based companies, offering specialist business support, flexible tenancy agreements, high spec lab compatible office space, marketing support and a city centre location in an impressive landmark building.
The objective of LSP is to create the specialist infrastructure to redevelop the City's wealth and support the City Region's knowledge=economy. Since its launch, LSP's Innovation Centre has experienced high demand with over 22 knowledge-based companies locating to LSP within the first year of operations. Over half the companies are from outside the region, attracted by the fit-for-purpose support infrastructure and the impressive knowledge-assets of the City.
LSP is a joint collaboration between Liverpool John Moores University, The University of Liverpool and Liverpool City Council. It is part financed by the European Union under Merseyside's Objective One ERDF Program and the North West Regional Development Agency.
