A new dynamic Liverpool is emerging; spurred on by the success of securing the European Capital of Culture title for 2008 the city is more dynamic than ever. Visitors to the new Liverpool are amazed at the transformation of the city. Once derelict docklands are now home to award-winning retail and leisure amenities, waterfront apartments, family housing, marinas, hotels, offices and restaurants.
The magnificent city centre architecture - a testament to the city's heritage - has been retained and is being creatively restored and converted to create modern city living and office space. Developer interest in the city is at its highest for over a century. Liverpool's world famous waterfront is one of the most outstanding in Europe and is in line to become a World Heritage Site.
With a masterplan for the city centre co-ordinated by Liverpool Vision - the first Urban Regeneration Company in Britain - creative developers are restoring the best of the past to meet the needs of the future. Living in Liverpool

Liverpool and Everton Football clubs and the world famous Aintree racecourse, home of the Grand National, are all within 20 minutes of the City Centre. Leisure facilities abound, with several excellent David Lloyd Leisure Centres. And, Liverpool is also a major Golfing Capital with Merseyside having over 40 courses, 7 of which are leading championship venues, including the world famous links of Royal Liverpool and Royal Birkdale.
